Kites. long poem

Uploaded by Shalu_S_Pillai

Kites ,
high they fly
On their distinct path
Wandering, discovering, redefining …
With burning desire
They fly…

Red, green, white, gray and golden
All belonged to me
Or do they??

Red , is my first favourite
It flies forever, with
Heart of a Scorpion king
And undying passion.
Red you were always mine
but I never owned you
Yet you float in my vicinity
Eternal is our bond
And eternal will it ever remain

I liked the Green one
But it could never own me..
Apart we fell, away it flew
Yet aware I am
Stronger is the pain than will

Grey, you made me believe
You belong to me
And on a stormy day
You just left me and flew
Why wasn’t I aware
Of the traitor sleeping in you

Never was I aware
That you existed, white
Silent was your heart
Silent was your prayer
Unaware is the world
Of the turbulence beneath
Fly high ,high as you can
Be afraid not,
for you will never fall

I own my golden kite
For it is my greatest gift
My prized possession
I fly my kite,
High as it goes
My eyes filled with glee
But afraid I am of the flight
For never can I let it go.
A promise I have made.
Safely I hold my golden string,
And let all the other free.

all my kites are flying high
though I own them or not
they all belong to me…..

Too many colors in me and I was meant to fly But I got stuck to the wall Too many colors in me and I was meant to fly random colors like random thoughts Too many colors in me and
