A Tribute

A Tribute short poem

Sixteen years have passed
Never a second gone by
Without a thought of you in my heart
This day, however makes me wonder
If I loved you enough..but now you’re yonder

All that I am today
All that I will become tomorrow
How I wish I could tell you now
You are the reason for all the dreams I follow

I loved you then, I love you even more now
You’re not with me, but you still are somehow
Always grateful, thankful I shall be
I am a man today, because of the sacrifices you made for me
My best friend and my guide
Mom, you are my fondest memory.
