Conscience

Conscience short poem

Uploaded by Ramapriya Nr

I always feel I have deceived my conscience
My conscience pricks me for what I did

I try to convince my conscience for all the wrong I did
My conscience accepts my decision but rejects my action

I get into confrontation with my conscience
My conscience never argues with me

I get frustrated and try to surrender to my conscience
My conscience tells me you are too late to be pardoned

I get frustrated and make my life miserable
My conscience keep sarcastically smiling at me

I have now realised I am doomed to be in hell for what all I did
My conscience pities me for not listening to him and face hell

Only when one listens to his or her conscience
One can go to heaven or else one will surely be dumped in hell

Ramapriya ji, a nice poem each one of us have a conscience and that is always our guiding force yet as the great H.W.Longfellow said “I do not believe anyone can be perfectly well, who has a brain and a heart” there is a brain and there is a heart and we at times listen to our brain and at times we listen to our heart……so it is alright to sway between the two, no one is perfect and no one can be and who knows, there is a heaven or hell or not, who knows what lies beyond death, hell and heaven if at all, is in this world…nice poem……….liked it…..i am sorry i differed a little……
