Have you contrived, to deprive me of sleep,
By way of smiles, and acts of sweet accord,
To make me toss in bed, for meanings, deep,
Which sowed between my heart and mind, discord?
Have you, your ways conspired to scare my wits,
That when sleepless, I sleep to dream all day,
And in the night, daydreams, my soul commits,
Think, I will fret, or might, or that I may:
What’s in your song, that got me so inspired,
Or, was it me, swayed easily by songs,
Which blinded me from what has so transpired,
That now, my time to fantasy belongs?
……..Meantime, I dream reality with you,
……..Reality of dreams, all coming true.

Reyvrex, your phrasing in these pieces is exquisite. This is only the second of your sonnets I have read, but they are both dazzling. I do, however, think you went a little overboard with commas here–the first 4 lines need only one comma after “accord”, and end with the question mark as is, for example. And I don’t understand the solitary colon that’s attempting to do the job a period should be doing.
