Torn Asunder

Torn Asunder ballad

Draw me a Valentine
A common link
A broken arrow
And perfectly pink

A tear down the cheek
So vividly seen
A boy and a girl
Together they glean

Love is written
A letter to read
Feelings so rare
A flower, A seed

Collecting petals
floating adrift
water droplets
Falling so swift

Friendship torn asunder
Emotions so raw
Broken hearts so tender
Severing the law

Sadness and longing
Giving and wronging
Forgive me here
And be blessed my dear

The Arts have always inspired me. I began exploring the art of writing poetry at 9 years old. It became one of my passions because it allowed me to express myself and respond to my inner promptings in a positive way. I found that as with any art form there are no right or wrong ways of creating. This is the beauty of art...there are no limitations. The only requirement is that the poet be courageous enough to release his inhibitions and follow his heart and imagination. Along my path in life, I have discovered that writing poetry is , at its most, a truly liberating experience that not only reveals the nature surrounding us, but in reflecting the inner life of mankind.

You Torn My Love Into Shreds

You Torn My Love Into Shreds short poem

How delicate is the heart of a man It throbs gently at every beat yet it bears the burden of the man From the things he loves best and the things he loathes so dreadful Of the things he loves

I am torn

I look around I see things that I don’t have to I feel things that are sacrilegious I do things that are desecration I can’t breath anymore I can’t smile I can’t laugh I am dragging a dead corpse everywhere
