Her Death Wish

Her Death Wish long poem

She grew up in a big family
With a starry dream in her eyes
There was nothing special in her dream
Only her dreams were not for her

In the vagaries of life
Her dream could not be fulfilled
she changed her perception
So that some of her dreams could be achieved

She too faced ups and downs in life
Like all others do
She also erred many times
To err is human she knew

Life was a challenge for her
She loved accepting the challenges thrown at her
She never regretted, never looked back
she believed life can’t be lived in reverse gear

Friends she had many
Enemies she hardly had any
Life was not easy for her
she never complained
she knew life is not fair for so many

In the world of men
She worked like a man
Yet she was proud that
She was born a woman

She lived life on her own terms
Taking each day as it came to her
Each morning she accepted as Lord’s another blessing
She was proud to have faced the challenges of life
She never complained living each day without any strife

Soon It was the sunset of her life
She died a death of solitude
She was happily ready to go
knowing she always had that fortitude

Though she had never wished anything for herself
Yet she was a human after all
She too had human weaknesses
she too had an intense death wish

her only wish was that……..
no she never wished to be remembered
She wished only to be missed

“no she never wished to be remembered
She wished only to be missed”
A master peace of emotion. A very good simple poem on life

Randall Smith

She died a death of solitude. That is a lonely person. She wished to be missed. If not remember then not to be missed. I really feel sorry for this person, locked into her own shell and world. But well written
