To Childhood, With Love

Looking back, I see
That I’ve come a long way
From where I used to be.
In the faraway town,
Where I spent the best
days of my life.
Rainy, sunny, cloudy…
Whatever it may be.
I had my own flights of fancy,
A free bird, I used to be.
Now, when I see myself surrounded,
By new faces everyday.
I pause, look around and wonder.
I, once had similar faces,
Smiling back at me.
But with time, we moved on;
Into different directions.
The jolly dot on the palm
became a void so deep.
The game of hide ‘n’ hide
We took too seriously!
Playing the game of FLAMES,
we crossed our own names.
The narrow road that got us together everyday,
Became the highway with split ends.
The pieces of broken bangles,
that testified our love;
they got lost somewhere,
Or maybe, they are there,
but we cannot see!
Forever, really is nothing,
Nor is everlasting.
It’s just a long journey,
Where some will stay,
While some will move on,
Yet, some will make guest appearances;
To be seen as shadows,
vanishing with the end of the day.
After all this, I just wish one thing.
I want to be with you and you to be with me.
Forever, ah!
We’ll ponder over that,
Some other day.
I wish to live this moment
As long as it’s there.
And not worry about tomorrow,
ruining our today!
Oh soul, my dearly cherished one.
Give happiness a chance, let it engulf you once.
If it stays on……,hmm, lucky you!
And if it doesn’t,
tell yourself again.
It will last forever, o come on,
said that who!

Fail In Love

Fail In Love short poem

She was a traveling soul. The galaxy resting above her nose. I’d sit & stare. Wondering where the stars would go next. Both young & in love I let go. Tracing together swirls of color. The planets all together aligned.

Please take my hand, for I am blind. I’ve lost my path and my sense of touch. I’ve fallen, for my hands and feet are behind. Please let me hear, for all is in a hush. My wrist and ankles
