Pearls of Wisdom

Pearls of Wisdom prose poem

Respect life, it is the only one you have
Respect yourself, because YOU are God’s miracle
Respect your parents; they may not be there for long
Respect every human being, irrespective of their status in life
You never know, whom you may need, when.
Value education,
It is your investment for the future
Be courteous, be graceful, be dignified, be honest
These are virtues that stand by you
Be polite to your subordinates
For without them you are nothing
Grow to be YOU
Learn, to stand on your own two feet
For life sometimes has hidden hurdles
And you need all your wits
And your strength to overcome them
Eat healthy,
Exercise daily….smile
Think positive, think well
Enjoy what you do,
Not do what you like
Earn money but respect it
It is not about how much you have
But how well you live
Shed your ego
It is an extra burden that loads you down,
Have friends, they are your support system
Respect your spouse
For life without one is dull
Perform deeds, that enthrone you
In the hearts of people you meet
And when you grow old
And your body is weighed down with pain
You will look back, on a life well lived
And death will only be a passing
From the old to the new
For by then you will have become immortal
In the hearts of all whom you touched.

Your verse is like a handbook on goodness and reminds one of the growing up years when such values were instilled in all of us, refreshing to revisit them again
