Rachel Dolezal Ethnic Dilemma

Rachel Dolezal Ethnic Dilemma short poem

When Dr. King said, \”I have a dream that one day our children would be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin.\” Was the \”our\” he referred to African Americans or all people?
If the “our” were African American then Obama Mama\’s not included.
And he also should be excluded from being seen as the first African American President?
If the “our” was of all People, then Rachel Dolezal should not be judged by the color of her skin,
But by her qualifications and work performance.
The issue is that skin color still determines if a person is out or in.
Wish Dr. King were here to clarify his statement.
Most importantly I wish all would take his words as I understand
\”our children\” to mean that of all people.
Is this an ethnic dilemma or if any took Dr. King seriously a non issue?

A white British person could not have replaced Gandhi to lead India to Independence. On the other hand, to lie about our color!

Ruthieg33>. Yours was a good read. On ‘being out and no longer in’ as head of the organization: Being white is not the dilemma, but rather feeling the need to change her identity. The NAACP was started by a white person. So being black was not a qualifying factor.
The story is not simply about ‘black and white’. There seems to be a personal story that is bigger than race.

The Unsettling Dilemma short poem
