Black And White

Black and white
Like the colour of the colobus in Colorado
Make me of Black Magic think.
Witches that bring about white things.

Black and white
How can black ever rule the white?
When even the darkness vamoose
From the light jungle full of bamboos

Black and white
To me they give thoughts of
Abraham Lincoln when
Emancipation Proclamation He signed,
Freed the Black of Whites’ servitude.
I see Black in White as it is in its parvitude.
I see White breathes in black gas as its attitude.

Black and white
Remind me of the racists
With them black and white fascists.
Superficially white but deep down is a black stone.
In the busy street of Rock and Roll black sits on the white throne.
The different races,
With different faces,
In different places,
Speaking with songs
With horns of different voices.

Black and white
How you remind me of death,
Which takes lives like liars
Opening its executive sentences like lawyers,
Sisters and brothers,
Mothers and fathers
Adam and Eve,
It takes into the dark,
Black and desolate corner of Sheol.
The heroes I think of
That are no longer in existence.
The heroic heroes with their heroines at the days of Herodotus.
Heroes and heroines with heroic heroism at the time of Spartacus.
The African Pharaohs of Egypt,
The courts of wise men,
The mathematical time of Al-khwarizmi,
The time of Empires rise and fall,
Like sun rise and rain fall.
The Babylonian gardens which are nowhere to be found,
The ruin of colosseum Architecture.
The philosophy of the Greeks,
All separated with Memorial distinction.
Leaving me with only the memories,
White and black historical mortal extinction.

Black and white
Remind me of the white papers,
manuscripted with black inks.
Embedded with scriptural secret of truth.
Penned by white inspired men
With black beads in search of the youths’ fruit.

Black is to to me like hades.
When life’s futility makes me
Think I am baby.
At times, I die to think
About the struggle we had against mortality.
With the whole of our black thought with so much brutality.
Hoping to get a clue to end deaths’ finality.

Oh! The pyramids, left to tell what
The struggle was for the Ancient Pharaohs,
Built by slaves with the fear of the spears and arrows.

The dark mystery,
The ancient chemistry,
Alchemists fought through history
How mystical you are as Elixir of life?
The concoction that caused confusion and lies.
White as the thoughts of
Youthful exuberance came in,
Like casinos, gamblers game in.
In the search, I through the Caribbean
for the fountain of youth.

White is to me like light,
As it emits from space,
From darkness to light we are on the pace.

Black and white
These are colours
that remind me of colours,
Even the Grayscale in Dollars.
Remind me of time past
Envision things be cast.
Inexplicable is how they affect influences into every phase of our dark world.
How can a dim light cage me into Black Maria?

I am Teitei Stanley. I was born into the undeveloped bushy-watery part of Nigeria, to speak the most interesting and self-expressive language called Ijaw (Izon). As i grow I learn to earn knowledge and understanding from all reliable source - from the Bible, from my parents, teachers and some of those who decide to correct me when I am wrong.I love music as a teen, and preoccupied so much of my time listening to a great many genre of music.. I have so many vaulted thoughts which I would divulge in poetry. I just follow no rule in my writing, because I believe we are all poets born to speak our mind in whichever way comprehensible. I think the way I write would set a standard for future generation. So, I freestyle the way I write my poems to gain no coin, but to at least gain AP points.
