A Beautiful Mind

A Beautiful Mind short poem

I have known a beautiful mind
A mind that never ceased to work
A mind that wove webs of thoughts
And emotions

I have known a beautiful mind
That stored beautiful memories within
A mind that never ceased to be amazed
With the wonders of this world

I have known a beautiful mind
That would be fascinated with a butterfly on a wing
And a mechanical concept
With the same intensity and passion

I have known a beautiful mind
That sang songs of love
Laughed with mirth
Danced with the seasons
And thoroughly enjoyed it

Today when I look at your vacant smile
I hope your beautiful mind
Is still playing those songs
You love
And showing you the visions
Of a time bygone

Today your tired eyes
Droop with fatigue
Of having seen, felt and experienced
A lifetime of memories
