Teef on TV

Teef on TV short poem

Americans have the same teef on TV
Or at least that’s how it seems to me
They’ve all got even white shining incisors
The sort that demands the need for visors
Big flashy cars-Ferraris and rollers
Open their doors to reveal perfect molars

American stars
Both husbands and wives
All get their canine’s cut down to size
Their teef sparkle more brightly
Than the diamonds they wear
And their smiles are wider
Than their big American hair

But better teef just encourage them to open their gobs
And ‘cause their smiles are flawless they get all the top jobs
True talent is side-lined, real intelligence too
When the key to success is a perfect 32!

I have been writing and performing poetry for longer than I care to admit. I write mainly for women and those precious men who care to try and understand us. I write with humour and sensitivity. I feel it is vital to challenge conformity and 'blandsville' at every opportunity. I love performing my work because I can add extra passion to my words. I also love the interaction with a live audience and their immediate response. Positive or negative, calm or aggressive, it really does not matter at all!
