On a rock near the lake
Sitting silently I was
Dangling my feet in
Waters, disturbing it
Just for pleasure’s sake.

Seeing terrified fish
I felt an urge to muse
What right I have to
My liberty’s misuse?

Shivering stars on water
Stared at me fully scared?
Alerted, I pulled my feet
Out, the stars too cheered.
The fish and fish-lings
Popped up, no more feared?

Stars started dancing
On the cool lake water,
Shoals of aqua creatures
And Nature’s orchestra
Boomed into melodic symphony.

Poet’s Note:
We quite often disturb nature. We do not even care how the flora and fauna may feel harassed by our wanton behaviour. In case a good sense prevails upon us and if we stop disturbing the nature, its effects are immediately seen even to a naked eye. And if the person is sensitive he too feels joyous with the changing scenario…

Beautiful poem, how our little acts can cause so much pain to others…
