You Were

You Were short poem

You were my best friend,
But all you did was pretend.
You said that you’d always be there-
But when I needed you the most, you were nowhere!

Just know that if you ever come running back to me,
You already lost your opportunity.
You were my mother-
You made me feel like a bother!

I wanted your love,
But all you would do is push and shove-
You don’t even deserve to see me.
To me, you’re not even a part of this family!

You were my Princess,
I would’ve came to you in distress.
You said you loved me but you lied-
You only stayed because I almost committed suicide!

That really hurt me,
In ways you couldn’t see.
People don’t understand my pain-
This pain is starting to make me go insane!

They don’t even care,
They aren’t even aware.
If I was to die!
Nobody would cry.

Well, I'm a 15 year old living with my Father. I've had some depression in my past and I take control of it by writing poems. Most of my poems will be depressing. So, if you're looking for something happy to read then you came to the wrong place. I hope to get some feedback from you guys so I can become a more advanced writer! Thank you :)
