Words Of Wonder

Words Of Wonder short poem

A word on a line joined with many and more
A story to tell from behind a closed door
A line on a page, a paragraph to make
From a thoughtful sage or the ones who forsake

A page in a book telling tales so tall
Just have a quick look, hear the whispering call
A book on a shelf, a dusty old tome
A wealth of words from across the room

A history in words telling tales of pain
Of battles and bloodshed and tears shed in vain
Tyrants and demons live within the short lines
Preaching tales of tomorrow and the end of times

Words of magic, mystery and prose
Of light and laughter and faces aglow
Words of science and nature and light
Of suns and stars and comets so bright

A library of life in unending rhymes
Of joyous love and wonderful times
A letter, a word, a line or a page
A thought laid down for the rest of the age.

A life without being able to enjoy music and express in words would be, for me, empty and cold.I have been writing since age 16, some 30+ years now but have only recently started publishing my works. Since doing so in Dec 2013, I have published 4 novels and 5 volumes of poetry, (available on Amazon.co.uk).My words are my life. If they touch you in any way, if you are able to take something from them, then my work has achieved its goal and I am a happy man.Welcome to my world. Darren.

A black hole detonates itself to stigmatize the substance. Now a silk road leads to sight and touch. A scarecrow starts screaming. Sky was falling on fire. The space becomes deviant. Chopped hands were drawing the tattoos of winged feet.
