Plaguing Pain

What is it that is plaguing me,
Like a knotted maze,
Slicing my very core,
Into tiny shreds of agony,
Haunting the soul with its echoes?

Could a bond just melt,
Into nothingness,
Like a kite that cuts off,
On a slight pretext,
And vanish into thin air?

A mind in tumultuous turmoil,
With gnawing questions,
Lost in an endless thoughts,
A race against time,
For a mother’s heart.
