Destiny? sonnet poems

What rules the lives of men: beggars and kings,
And those between, that unseats or installs,
That crowns, exiles, or that sweetens or stings,
While Fate has claimed the risings and the falls?
Had all outcomes been rigged for loves and wars,
As lots been cast in Mt. Olympus?
Or that the lovers’ trysts are linked with stars,
To end as planned, in spite of the rumpus?
It has been such folly, to cross the Gods,
And quite pagan for those who court their will,
Somewhere between, man’s destiny so plods,
And thus, would Providence likely fulfill:
……But Fate esteems men no higher than elves,
……Once they have failed to rise above themselves.

♪ ♫ Well, I guess, it could be said that if my knowledge and wisdom were converted to wealth, I may humbly say, in all honesty, that I am not a millionaire. But if out of my two cents, you would agree to accept one of it, then, I could proudly say, in all modesty, that I have done charity.♥

Inspiring verse for those who leave it all to fate. Is it really Destiny? Your verse is thought provoking and insightful @Reyvrex_Reyes.

A philosophical poem that cuts to the heart of human feeling. The essence of poetry, I suggest, is to express what we cannot know with our heads, Bob.
