Will She Live?

Will She Live? short poem

Darkness engulfs her
She wants to live
It’s her right
Will she be able to see the light
Of the world outside
Or will there be female foeticide?
I want to know
Will she be able to see her parents
Will she sleep in her mother’s arms
Or will she just die like that
Will she never be touched?
Will she never be loved?
Will she be able to laugh?
Or for her will there be only faugh?
Will she walk?
Will she talk?
Or will the parents balk
To bring her to this earth
She wants to live her life
She wants to get her right
She wants to see day and night
She wants to have a fight
Most of all I am worried
WILL SHE LIVE?!

Even in today’s world of equality in every section of the society..there’s a fear lurking about the survival of the girl child..Touched my heart.

this poem has highlighted everybody’s view on female foeticide ! but the way you have expressed you thoughts in an absolutely alluring manner is remarkable !! LOVED IT !! 🙂
