In Our Minds

In Our Minds short poem

Bent tree, drooping branches, wilting leafs aged from time
Knurled fingered, hands wrinkled much like mine.
Skin browned and aged spots, Face cracked and crevassed,
Sagging skin from sun and time.
We are old and that is fine, we’ve aged like fermented
Wine; minds not as sharp but wisdom far beyond young minds.
We know we are old!! but in our minds we are half the age of real
Time.

Little Minds

Little Minds short poem

Look into their eyes. Eager, wanting to know. Wanting to know what they got themselves into. Fresh faces, years before the first wrinkle. Blank slates hanging on our every word. Each time, a clean slate pregnant with potential. Each time,
