Adrift

I stare into the night, the
darkness and my thoughts
become dark then I knelt
down to ask for
forgiveness.
I stare into the water and
my eyes become watery as
I see the water flowing on
forever miles and miles
always together.
I stare into the light during
daylight at sunlight and
found this was not the way
for an afternoon delight as
my eyes became bright and
all became bright. Still started
feeling ill, maybe it will be
okay to look at the sky like
a book in the after noon.
I stare into the faces of the
people walking by and
remember this life we are
all just passing by even
though a baby cries for
food and a man cries and
dies for success, is he a
fool?
I just want to stimulate
minds, travel the world and
penetrate the times in
search of peace and
wisdom, burning that
smoke signal, letting
the streets know that I am with
them, then I feel the devil
push, am I a fool?
