The Pink Happiness

The little shadow walked into her lonely world,
his eyes candid, covered in a helmet, he looked onto hers.
Into that dark, holy night of a love unfelt that swirled,
Her eyes wandered and recalled “dear love bereaved”, the echoing verse.

The recall on that starry sky, perched in broken twigs of love,
Her actions, hurdled in a careless endeavour of charm disorderly.
From those watchful eyes, he lends a voice of hopeful puff.
From those softened words, he calms the soul forsaken, in arms lovingly.

Her fallen heart, holed with hurt, hurt with despair,
Buried in an ancient love so remote, but those eyes
Enchanting as a quirky soul, he was, binds an affair
unfelt, unplanned, unnoticed, her heart so fallen, begins to rise.

Her lonely world sees spring and sees in those candid eyes, so true,
That walked into her darkness, and stole her hurt and painful bane.
The path of love steps anew, the pink happiness blooms anew,
The little shadow walks into her life, with love reborn, relived, once again.

I finished Doctorate in Linguistics from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya (India)and started teaching at Tezpur University, Assam. I was born on 2nd November, 1983 in my hometown, Haflong, in Assam (India). Haflong is in the lap of nature and the beautiful Barail mountains have always inspired me to dream and write. I wrote my first poem 'roses' when I was 10 years old though I lost that piece as a young child. I have been writing several poems since then as a young girl and a confused teenager, but very few though more meaningful ones, as of now. Shillong with its scenic beauty keeps me engrossed with photography, fun with friends, social activities and a little time for poetry amidst the hectic research schedules. My poetry themes vary from nature to ambitions, from self questions to relationships. My other favorite pastimes include, writing short stories and quotations, trekking, shopping, sketching, travel and many others. I do not know what future brings in, with poetry for me, but it's something I love doing when I'm best left with, all by myself and my world of emotions.

In a dark dark night About you I reminisce, Cropping more towards you I fall into abyss. Where I see you With your immense love, Holding me tight Where I be the dove. Your eyes so glittery Filled with fire,

Pink Reminder short poem

It slithers, the tongue trying to find the rage on cold words. A window shuts on fire for a deliberate withdrawl from conflicts. The virgin iron becomes a corpse under the golden amnesia of hot greens. The colors are changing
