A Child Of The King

In this life I have faced more than I thought I could.
I have lived longer than I should.
Jesus saved me from the darkness within.
He saved me from the devil the creator of sin.
I will leave this old world behind.
A better place I will find.

I will thank him and be on my way.
I will wake up each day and pray.
I will ask for guidance and a helping hand.
I know with his help I can stand.
He may be out of sight, but not out of mind.
Many will think I am lost and blind.

It is his holy spirit I feel.
I will never deny he is real.
In this darkened world I have chosen to be a light.
I will stand as his soldier and fight.
He has given me work to do.
A work that leads me to you.

I will tell you of his wondrous love.
I will be his witness and tell you that what he offers is more than enough.
I will stand up for the broken hearted, lost and undone.
I will tell them of Jesus the Son.
He comes to those that are sick and in need.
Those who come to him, he will heal and feed.

We are separated from him by sin.
He defeated sin so we could be united with him.
Everything he has done, he did for you.
Every word he speaks is true.
He will break the chains of bondage and set you free.
Just as he did many years ago for me.

It is time for you choose.
Will you receive him or refuse?
Please don’t stay in the darkness of night.
Accept Jesus and step into the light.

Choose to stand up and fight.
Choose to love Jesus with all your might.
You will be filled with joy and sing.
You have become a child of the King.
