Until Tomorrow

Until Tomorrow short poem

Goodbye, my dove
Until tomorrow.
I promise to make
It a very special.

Standing at the window
Soft breeze caressing my soft curls
I see deep into the dark sky
Finding some clues in those stars.
What’s that special tomorrow?

The excitement is too great
I can’t get any sleep,
I know no point
Calling you & asking
You surely are not telling.
Then how should I figure it out?

Let me enlist some guessing on paper
Also, what all movies we have seen together
I know you will pick something correctly from there
Then I can short list
& further short list,
May be I come close
To real thinking
May be I guess
Full on bull’s eye!

But that will kill your zing
To give me this surprise
It’s truly unfair on my part.
What if you actually
Pull up that stunt
To land hot air balloon
On the terrace of mine?
Oh My God!
I am definitely fainting.

I am thinking so much
I can’t wait for tomorrow.
Dear moon, set soon
Glorious sun, rise up soon
Standing on the window
Crossing fingers to heart
I earnestly request you.

I thank you God
For all that you give,
This endless joy!

Did I just hear
The message beep
Of my mobile?

Sleep my dove
Tomorrow is just to come
I promise to make
It a very special one.
