Diamonds short poem

Glass and steel twinkle
in the sunlight against
a late summer sky of blue
Like diamonds in the sky

The morning air is crisp
and clean, sweeping over
a field of gold covered in dew
Glistening in the sun
Like diamonds scattered in nature

Morning sun reflects off cars
whizzing by the odd shaped building
Creating sparkles and flashes of light
Like diamonds surrounding art

Chaos, disbelief and horror
blast through the morning
Shattering lives and hearts

Fireballs explode in the sky
on the ground
in our minds

Glass and tears rain down
from the sky like diamonds
glistening in the sun
Drenching our country in sorrow
Drowning us in rage

From the debris
The rough, if you’ll allow
diamonds rose shining bright
hard, unbreakable

Diamonds shaped like heroes
both here and yet gone
Diamonds shaped like unity
shaping a country: indivisible
Diamonds shaped like tears
cried for all that was lost
Diamonds shaped like tears
shed for the pride we felt
as one, united, never forgetting

I am so glad you are here. Please make yourself at home, here, next to the arm-chair. Let us talk of poetry and life; let us laugh and crack jokes; let us rule the world with our lofty thoughts and electrodes for those out of line. Most likely I will pee a little when we laugh, and my thoughts are usually random rather than lofty, but you know what they say: “The dog of the exceptional wisdom has the bird of sleeping monkeys in his dreams!”Anyway, I was talking to a guy the other day who was high on pot (he was standing on the toilet) and I mentioned my fear of bush hogs and roaches. He comforted me and then asked why I was in the stall with him.So there you go, my full life story nowhere on this page. I feel like we know each other so much better now. Sometimes I’m serious, sometimes I seriously funny, sometimes I’m seriously gassy. I am at all times grateful for your support. If you have an idea to share, or just want to drop a line, you can contact me at peanuttyoh@yahoo.comBe excellent to each other and glitter on glitterbombs.

One Day It’s Gonna Rain Diamonds

One Day It’s Gonna Rain Diamonds short poem

Slowly into the path Path of hope, joy, greatness Standing all kind of weather Drizzles, showers, hurricane, all kinds With faith I still ride on It seems far away But I have heard stories of heroes who made it Am
