A Dream

In my balcony
On this full moon night
I think of you and decide to write
I analyse my things and my life
But all my thoughts just end up in a fight
You’re my first thought
My last thought
And everything in between
Yet I feel insecure
Losing faith in love
Because of all that I’ve seen..
It’s a dream I had with you
A dream when I said, “I love you.”
You’re the song that I keep humming, and
The shooting star upon which I’m wishing
For somewhere out there
Under this moonlight
I’ve been trying for you
Trying hard with all my might
Somewhere out there
Under this sky black or blue
There has to be some place
Where this dream shall come true..
A love – hate relationship
Is what I’m going through
What’s exactly going on in my head
I wish I could write or say it to you
There have been times
When I wished to kill you, but
There also have been moments
When I felt I meant the world to you..
I know I’m a bundle of immaturity
I know I’m hard to handle at times
I just don’t need the whole world for me
I can be happy with the wind chimes.
Maybe I define love differently
But like everyone
I want it to last a good time
Years from now
When someone mentions my name to you
You stand there, lost in deep thought
With smile, a blush and glitter in your eyes
Strikes a spark of our memory
And you pick up the phone to call me,
No hi, no hello
No greeting, no sorry
No news of friends,
Nowhere to hurry
All I get to hear is that,
“Don’t worry about me,
I’ll be home soon, honey.”

The poet ‘s thinking on love seems to be real. It’s bitter sweet. In even love-making relationship we yearn for the one we love. So true. Regards
