Wilderness Encounter

A masterful bull elk in prime condition
the massive monster’s high spirited bugle reverberating out across a vast valley high in the Cascade Mountain Range.

Wapiti’s harem meandering about on a pristine alpine meadow with the grand master on full alert for any intruders.

A faint rolling bugle in reply to the leader’s challenge.
The eerie bugle growing in volume!
Suddenly! The challenge is answered.
From out of a near thicket a bull elk out weighing the challenger by three hundred pounds rushes towards its opponent.

The herd scatters to and fro in the wilderness Amphitheater
The bulls rushing each other with weathered antlers trailing their flanks
At the final moment these prize animals rear up on their hind legs and butt heads, the dreaded thud echoing across the alpine meadow.

Dropping to all fours for a split second and sparing off once again a misty vapor appearing from their nostrils is seen rising in the cool crisp mountain air.

Locking antlers the challenging masters of the Cascade Wilderness weary themselves until one of the challengers antlers snaps and is dangling from the main shaft.

The incredible hulk of an elk out weighing the challenger by three hundred pounds leads the harem out and across the wilderness amphitheater.
Leaving the profound challenger to fully recover from the Master’s ordeal.

Wilderness

Wilderness short poem

Why did you have to come in this world to become a medical waste? There was no urgency to dropp in and then remain unnoticed, with no symptoms of life. Later scooped by a dumper you are thrown on garbage.

Walking Wilderness

Walking Wilderness short poem

It crashed like a chandelier my dream. Becoming wet, into unhealing existence. I was expecting a landfall by burst of flames. Grieving for a lost generation, a meaningless exit from the stage of bites and suffering. Can you reverse this

Lost In The Wilderness

Lost In The Wilderness prose poem

Eerie the right and weird the atmosphere, Lightning flashes fearful faces, Giant trees cast sinister shadows, Danger lurks in the oddest of places, I stumbled on a stone and hit my head down, I suddenly realized that I had strayed

A Brief Encounter

A Brief Encounter short poem

I’ve waited all week to again see your face To smell your perfume during lovers embrace Hold your hand gently stare into your eyes I whisper I love you the truth never lies We look at each other with longing
