Love Sonnet 116

Love Sonnet 116 sonnet poems

The scent of your embrace lingers behind
After you left in pursuit of your star;
It seems, it’s all I have of you to bind
The memories to wherever you are;
And soon, the nights will take longer to dawn,
The moon may pale further in borrowed light,
The sun, too long from blazing skies withdrawn,
And Time creeps much slower in mock delight
At agonizing wait for love’s return:
From voyages at seas, uncharted yet,
From flights on wings of passion, deep, that burn,
Or from ventures cut short, still incomplete;
…..Sometimes, the guiding star could fade away,
…..Unlike your scent which stayed until today.

♪ ♫ Well, I guess, it could be said that if my knowledge and wisdom were converted to wealth, I may humbly say, in all honesty, that I am not a millionaire. But if out of my two cents, you would agree to accept one of it, then, I could proudly say, in all modesty, that I have done charity.♥
