Highway short poem

Heading to the city in a cab,

I take a backseat and wave goodbye

To my people, to my town

I say – wait for my call, wait for my mail

When back, I may tell you a tall tale.

The steering in the Captain’s hand, me with a book and a cam,

Music on and the four wheels move on

So my cat nap ends when we are miles away,

On the highway it is a heavy rainy day

Long awaited season is finally here after the summer of April and May.

Extending my hand out of the window pane

A rhyme now strikes in my brain

Quickly pull out a paper and a pen

Scribble down the beautiful moments of the rain

The black grey clouds in the blue washed sky

Now the fresh smelled earth isn’t dry

Lush Green looks more green

I can even dance alone, be like a queen

The cab moves on and the sceneries change

So I think of many more lines to brew and blend

A scooter with two drenched men on board

They run for a shelter from the road

Laughing and chatting under the tree

They wait to restart the choked wheels.

Just waved them goodbye

On my way, I am happy on a rainy day

City and town – Miles away,

I am on a ride on the Highway!!!

Stranded between the faces of a coin, Despair and lost around landslide jolt of the Highway, At the place where I shouldn’t be, With a hustle I grabbed a taxi from Siliguri, I was coming back home from an intense
