Love Sonnet 43

Love Sonnet 43 sonnet poems

Bring me no more ambrosia, please, no more,
Nor fill my cup, with sweet nectar to drink,
Of Graces’ dances, spare me no encore,
And Muses’ songs next time, not now, I think;
Tell Apollo to mute his lyre today,
Happiness is scarce even here above,
Goodbye Olympus, I must go my way,
To plains below, where lonely waits my love;
I need no disguises, like form of swan,
Or shiny bull with which to roam the fields,
She is no huntress who could swiftly ran,
But angel of a love her heart so wields;
…Do let her see me in my humblest form,
…And may our love then overcome the norm.

♪ ♫ Well, I guess, it could be said that if my knowledge and wisdom were converted to wealth, I may humbly say, in all honesty, that I am not a millionaire. But if out of my two cents, you would agree to accept one of it, then, I could proudly say, in all modesty, that I have done charity.♥
