When I Saw The Last Time

When I Saw The Last Time prose poem

I was holding my child and whispering
Papa this time will get the blue angel dress
she laughed and said guguggug…
I woke as the bus stopped suddenly
the acrid tyre smell hit my nostrils
still sleepy was tapped and ordered
Theegora , get down and shoved like a waste
I blinked I knew not the happenstance
middle of nowhere even moon never dared
desolate desperate I cursed my handler
if not for him would be in warm wife’s embrace
arms tied we seven thrown like logs onto the truck
It meandered on the never-ending trail
could hear the rivulets, the friction of the forest
muted we were like rag dolls remained still
after an eon stopped and again thrown aground
commands heard rustles and the boots sound
cockings heard and rifles loaded
then it hit my senses, my biles raised
oh,behold were’nt arrested
to be encountered and I missed a beat
like a sacrificed lamb even our tongue betrayed
sound of fire reached my ears
five to go sixth I am
laughing yearning my child’s eyes asking
when again papa and ethos filled me over and above
cried aloud but no sound came
can hear papa papa don’t leave me
sweet sensation ensconced liberated me
I opened my eyes and I saw last
not the animals but my daughter crying and running
papa papa pa….
