Where thou are
My creator and my god
from the moment you knew I am
never a second you unthought me
my tantrums; you smiled
my attitudes; you redirected
you knew me better than me
your love boundless selfless
yet….
when you needed me I failed
from the bed your eyes yearned
your mind and soul cried and were searching me
your mouth uttered me and eyes transfixed seeing none wanting
I procrastinating let go until the next day
let my child’s exam finish 400 mile apart
the moment exam finished
let’s go the next day, tickets are full
to the very last, they said, her mouth called and vision on door
not a drop of milk or water went down her throat
yet she waited yet I was found wanting
she never closed her eyes but breathed her last
she gave up on me and that moment killed her
am a killer since with no redemption
my redeemer I lost but still I knew
I could hear my mom’s soothing voice at my bedside say
I will never leave you nor forsake you
I cry with a pricking heart and from my deepest sorrow ‘ammmaaa’

It’s beautiful.
A touching tribute to a wonderful angel called mother:) Nice and heart-rending.
