Kite short poem

Once I was obsessed with puerile dreams
Radiant smiles used to flush my cheeks with beams

Then despondence gripped me with glistening tears
And pale solitude rolled in with mighty arrears.

To ‘live the fullest and let live’ was my motto
I buried my emotions deep inside my mind’s grotto.

At the age of twelve I used to fly kites
With the hope of building castles in air in bytes.

The kite used to sail across the sky of turbulence
I used to display my thoughts in sheer independence.

The kite was the sole testimony to my freedom
Bearing the adage that, ‘Feeling lonely is a thought seldom’.
