Let Us Pray

Let Us Pray short poem

Whatever it is that we may see
Whatever it may be that we shall hear
Whatever enters our hearts and makes us fear
We shall but be silent, and place covers over our ears
We shall but look faithfully to the heavens and draw near

We shall find at God’s altar a love so strong and so dear
We shall look confidently ahead, and not in the rear
We shall be calm, and our hearts He shall steer
We shall be still, as He wipes away every tear
And we shall receive His peace year after year
