Chapter Of Love

I wrote a love story…
a boy met a girl
they fell in love,

they romanced
through the next few chapters

under the moonlit night sky,
in the back seat of the Fiat,
by the five gardens of love,
on the Arabian sea shore
watching the sun mellow
down into the evening waves…
..they kissed
they caressed
they merged as one in love…

a few chapters later…
they broke off…
love lay shattered…
why the love went sour
only love knew…
as there were no
more chapters….
to read

perhaps …
this may be
the last chapter
of my love story too,
I thought….

but my darling of love
smiled
at me …
kissed me on my lips
in a tight hug and said..
“darling!! our chapter
of love is just beginning…

I closed the manuscript …
locked it in the safe
and threw away the key …
into infinity..

my love is
now safely locked within me!!
Chapter closed.

She was a traveling soul. The galaxy resting above her nose. I’d sit & stare. Wondering where the stars would go next. Both young & in love I let go. Tracing together swirls of color. The planets all together aligned.
