Love Sonnet 188

Love Sonnet 188 sonnet poems

The fragrance of Spring sweetly scents the air,
And creeks are running full of melted snow,
My eyes could not keep foolishly from glare,
Of early morning sun’s radiating glow;
More buds have opened up, aroused from sleep,
To greet beholders with primal display,
And best before the sun has climbed too steep,
Before dewdrops have opted not to stay;
But has Springtime truly arrived this time?
My heart heard no sweet songs playing within,
My pen conjured not any single rhyme,
And from sorrows I scored nary a win;
……I grieve not when a good season departs,
……But love it better when another starts.

♪ ♫ Well, I guess, it could be said that if my knowledge and wisdom were converted to wealth, I may humbly say, in all honesty, that I am not a millionaire. But if out of my two cents, you would agree to accept one of it, then, I could proudly say, in all modesty, that I have done charity.♥

Although the poet many visual proof of proof of Spring in the air, he entertains a doubt whether it has truly arrived or not. I love the last two lines which shows the inner feelings of the writer. In addition, what he says about how the inner feelings may differ from the outer environment is really true.
