Oh! This Waiting!

Waiting, wailing, weeping!
When..when..when ???
The expected turns out to be
the unexpected!!
What have I done?
Why do I merit this award?
Months and months of agonizing waiting… rewarded
with a still- born!
Only to have a heart torn?
Oh! …. this waiting!

Weeping, wailing, waiting …
When…when…when ???
What have all my sleepless labored nights yielded ?
Have I achieved for what I
had fielded?
Oh!…this waiting!
Waiting, wailing, weeping
When…when…when ???
Will the long list of
candidature ever end?
How long this icy winter
to fend?
Will I get this work I had pleaded
with frets and fumes?
Or just another dream
up in flames?
Oh!…this waiting!

Wailing,..waiting,.. weeping
When..when..when..???
Will the last carriage arrive
before I tire out?
Or will the battle be lost
before it’s begun?
Will the Sun rise before
the Daybreak or set before
the Moon-rise?
Will the nightingale win over
the cock?
Oh!….this waiting!

Wailing…weeping…waiting.
“Take him home.
take him home!”,
– cries the Doc!!
He’s breathing his last!!
Neighbors, friends, relatives
arrive fast;
All have encircled me, only
to go past!
Oh…this waiting!
Waiting… Waiting..waiting!
When?..When?..When?..
is everyone’s worry!
” HOW LONG?” growl the undertakers,
” it’s getting dark”, sighs the priest with
beads on the face!
This ever.. lengthening….. EVENING ,
When will it end?
When will it END?

” Oh!….this waiting…
.. this waiting! this…waiting!!

Waiting For You

Lying in the dark, Waiting for the light. The sun never rose, And the days intertwine. The void that grows, Gets wider all the time, And I’m lying here, Waiting, waiting for you. You, You are my light, You are
