Razor Wire Explains

Razor Wire Explains short poem

Photo by docoverachiever

Razor wire surrounds the prison,
I say,’razor wire, why do you seem so cold and hard?
Razor wire exclaims, i wasn’t the one who made me this way.”
“why?’ i say, razor wire responds, ”
Mortals like you turn beautiful things into meaningless-ugliness.
It’s me who has to stand all day;
It’s me who has to watch all of you.
Each day i hear your cries.
Each day i see the loneliness.
Even though i’m cold and hard,
Like the hearts each one of you feel.
It’s me who remains, never to change.
I say, razor wire, whats the use?
You keep us enclosed here, but in reality,
Aren’t we all enclosed in our own private hell?
I say, razor wire, you will always remain deep,
Within my sub-consciousness!
