Forgotten

Forgotten short poem

Old and lonely at life’s end
Taking life as it comes
many sunrise dry the dew
that soaked the clothes
many sunset I have seen

Barren lands are now towns
right before my eyes
roads have sprung
where vegetation thrive

Yesterday‘s contributions are forgotten
Like the ants that just pass by

Sacrifice make now unnoticed
As if they were never done

Devaki, Destiny’s Forgotten Daughter

Devaki, Destiny’s Forgotten Daughter prose poem

Tattered clothes that were barely there Her tortured soul was threadbare too. She mirrored our impotent helplessness In the face of destiny’s dire performance As we watched her bizarre life played out. Every time I saw her writhe and squirm,

Winged companions tweet, The most beautiful melody, Of the song in my soul, In the twilight magical hour. Unnoticed and always present, Like a gentle heartbeat, A fragile throb of life, That is beyond my realm. With tiny flapping wings,
