In Love With Pain

In Love With Pain short poem

Pain intrigues a mystery
The endurance of perseverance
Tingling through every cell
With a vengeance to conquer
The mind and heart.

Sweet is the pain
That makes you feel alive
Crimson red with scars
Like a zipped pouch
Oozing with blood.

Adapting to a permanent tattoo
Demanding to be felt
As a measure of a soul’s worth
Like a big tidal wave
Plague the core of life.

Venom burns in my veins
With all its synonyms
A lightning bolt from nowhere
Gifted by the creeping crab
I fall in love with the crab and pain.

An ode to pain, disease can make it your friend for what is left of life, but its not always disease, it can be a choice, our choice, to befriend pain.

” Falling in love with pain” it needs mental strength. That you have, I believe. I liked the poem.

@geetha_paniker…..medically …it is said that pain is a symptom and not a disease….it is a warning signal that there is something wrong somewhere….but most people prefer to have the symptomatic relief of pain and neglect the root cause of the pain….

pain is abstract….its mind driven….if the mind decides not to feel pain …it does not…like wise the mind can drive one crazy with just an ant bite of pain…

…and pain in love ….is the raw material for poets…and the poet in you has brought out this pain and used it effectively to pen this wonderful poem…well done …keep it up!!!

This was so wonderful to read and the first stanza honestly speaks about pain and what it does. I really enjoyed it!
