The Day Of Reckoning

The Day Of Reckoning long poem

Today is the day.
The clouds roll away.
You hear thunder and the eastern sky splits.
An angel of the Lord has come asunder.
The angle places one foot on land and one foot on sea.
Then declares that time is no more.
You hear thunder and the water in the seas roar.
Many begin to shake and quiver from the fear within.
Finally, this world of sin has come to an end.

In the far distance to see a cloud descending from beyond.
Upon the cloud of glory stands the Son.
The saints knew the time was near.
They started to praise his name because the time was here.
All people from all the nations from generation to generation
fall to their knees and worshipped the King of Kings.
All the angels in heaven sing.
Then silence falls all over the world as Jesus opens the book.
He raises his hand and turns his head from side to side and looks.

Then he begins to call name by name.
Many drop their eyes and their head for their shame.
Judgment day has come to us all.
The sinners of this world will surely fall.
Everyone will be judged according to their works in life.
Your judgment does not come from the amount of pain and strife.
Did you love him and claim his name?
Were you like so many and stayed the same?

Did you repent of your sin and be born again?
Those who denied him should have great fear.
The day of reckoning is here.
Those who served him with all their heart will live forever and never depart.
Robes of white and crowns they shall wear and sing glory and praises to his name.
Glory and praises to his name.

Poet’s Note:
This is a description of what the day of judgment will be like.  I hope it urges those who don’t know Christ to find out about him and repent of their sins before it is too late.

The rapture was on prowl to get the believers. You knew what you should not have known about the baby blue. Aphasia, experiences an impulsive violence, beyond the dead. Bionic hands to capture the moment of swapping uremia with swastika.
