I Wished I Were Home

Some say I’m being melodramatic.
From the outside my life looks fantastic.
I’ve travelled the entire globe.
Sang for people who didn’t know.

I wished I were home.
Not performing in a band,
But living life on my own
‘N spending time with my mom.

I remembered how life was.
wished for those days because
I could get on a bus or a train.
And no one knew my name.

Unknown but very happy,
I could wear jeans or Khaki.
And no one would care.
But it’s not that way when you’re famous.

Nice poem. I liked the part of longing for home and trying to be unknown feeling that you have expressed.
