Echo short poem

The night was at its depth
I sat alone in the dark
I felt lonely and sad
My mind traveled all around
I felt like trapped in my body.
I wished I could run back-
To my blooming youth
With all its glory and glitter.
Memories of the past,
The years I wasted with my dreams-
All appeared like a picture on the screen.
I wandered-wandered in my thoughts-
I entered in to a conclusion
Return to youth is only a dream
Past is past
Today is the reality.
Remain as I am-
With a kind and generous heart
Ready to do what my mind says.

But i never had the confidence to bring it to the public .Better to say, i never tried for it due to lack of confidence. Now i got a platform to bring myself forward. Thanks to the editorial board of high on poems.I enjoy reading and writing.

Experience is yours……pleasure will be mine……when I make use of it wisely .

“I wandered-wandered in my thoughts”. It is as if you know me and my thoughts. Don’t all poets
wander in their minds and hearts as you have so well put it? If you did not wander what could you write.
