I can’t slow down Time moves too fast. I’m heading to the future I’ve no time for the past.
Old folks sitting, swinging, Talking about what use to be. I would like to stop and visit But there is a world I want to se. Just sit and wait, slowly Life will pass you by. But get out and about And life will seem to fly.
Get up and dance. Every day’s a new friend. Look where you are going, Not where you have been.
I’ve aches and pains Some days I really hurt. but I’m not slowing down Until they cover me with dirt.
When they carry my casket I want them to say, My world is so much darker now, His songs lit up my day.
Poet’s Note As a lady said in her poem, when you are born you start to die. Don’t wait for it but be a thorn in deaths side and enjoy life.
