Life – A Drama

Life A Drama short poem

I was send to the ‘Cradle’ of earth
To perform the ‘Drama’ of life
The set was ready, co-actors too.
I felt easy to play my role
As my character had hardly anything to do
Years flew by; I too became a leading ‘Star’
With a handful of characters,
Too difficult to perform
Though without screenplay and dialogues
I feel the presence of a ‘Director’
In his hands our story is ‘Complete’
But he never allows rehearsals and retakes
With uncertainty and fears haunting me,
I still continue to perform cautiously
As a scene shot is shot forever!!
