Sometimes

Sometimes short poem

Sometimes in life, there are things you will never understand

When an absolute stranger you meet,
With utter respect you greet,
Still he/she perceives you in an erroneous way
And thinks you are led astray.

Sometimes in life, there are things you will never understand

When you trust someone with all your heart,
With utmost care their happiness you chart
Still your mental strength they fray,
Tear you apart and go away.

Sometimes in life, there are things you will never understand

You grow pretty close to a friend,
In all their problems, a hand you lend,
But when in your need of hour, you just keep a simple expectation
The truth dawns upon you that their friendship was a mere deception.

Sometimes in life, there are things you will never understand

You put in enormous efforts in something you wanted to gain,
But suddenly it hits you hard that it has all gone in vain
Still with an optimistic attitude you hope,
Knowing the true scope.

Sometimes…
Sometimes in life, there are things you will never understand

Neither the inappropriate perception being the dove,
Nor the hatred you received in exchange of love
Neither the murder of your subtle expectation,
Nor the hard-work which got you rejection

Still..
Still you keep on living without the answers to these tiny little questions you face
“Not everything needs to be understood” is the law of nature you grace
You keep faith in God’s plan of life
Where everything happens for a reason on which you can’t strife.

Sometimes I Crack

Sometimes I Crack long poem

Sometimes I crack and the hammer of a thousand lifetimes descending on this pregnant point pauses in mid air and the hole I’m driven into instead becomes a tunnel. Sometimes I crack and binding bonds- familiar, social, covalent, ionic- dissolve

Sometimes I Cry!

Sometimes I Cry! prose poem

Sometimes I cry, Occasionally, in the quiet Darkness of the night, It makes me a human again, A weird sense of life and pain, I like the warmth of my tears, The time I know my fears, Which run across

Sometimes You Fail

Sometimes You Fail short poem

Folks say, one should engrave his name in the list of great people. But a voice inside me says, it’s fine to be good enough, to live a simple life. My parents expect me to become a millionaire and tour
