The Apple Of My Eye

I stared at him struck with awe
He stood there straight and tall
Absolutely perfect without a flaw
He stared back and made my face fall
& I felt myself turning red hot & blush
‘Coz this “he” is none other than my very first crush
& oh! his incredible smile drives me to death
His irresistible fragrance steals my breath
The sound of his voice, his synthesizer
You wouldn’t argue- they act as a perfect tranquilizer…..
How I wish I could ruffle his hair
& pinch his funny flat nose with inordinate care!
* * * * *
Can you imagine?
Its 3 am & I’m alone with him
Only the two of us & the torrential rain…..
His fragrance sends me into a stupor-again
I gasp at the breathtaking sight
Of his eyes-molten chocolate in the candlelight
As he edges close…….
& then to destroy the romanticism in the air
my pet frog croaks!
Damn! my dream draws to an end
& I lie there sighing on my bed
wondering if I could ever reveal my feelings for this guy
Who has turned out to be the apple of my eye!
