On Distant Love

On Distant Love short poem

Had never believed till this date
There could be real soulmates
Your love which gives me so much pleasure
A true love which is my life’s biggest treasure
Yet the distance gives so much pain
I wonder if it’s my life’s biggest failure
Or my life’s biggest gain
I trust, I believe when you say
The distance is not keeping our love apart
You said listen carefully
And I can hear beating of your heart
with my heart
Holding hands, walking on the sea shore
Watching the sunset together
Lying under the stars
talking for hours and hours
It’s sad but I know
we will never be able to do all these together
Oh my distant love, no distance can ever
Keep my heart from loving you
Because I have finally found a true soulmate in you

This poem neither reached my heart……nor my brain…
………it sweetly melted on my lip .

@savi_mani ma’am this is again a beautifully written poem expressing the longing to meet between distant lovers.. Bt yet being connected through this threat of love.. Which only makes the distance a mere word.. As their hearts are always connected.. 🙂 this is so relatable :’)
