Self esteem long poem

Submerged in the bitter waters of negativity
I felt like I was walking on air
It’s as if my air of arrogance allowed me to defy gravity
To make me less dense than a strand of hair
I was proud. I was lost. I thought I was the best.
I thought I stood out from the rest.
That was why the other chicks shooed me out from our nest.
Now I am down, with both my feet firmly on the ground
Ah, just love that feeling of the hard solid Earth beneath
Alas, I am humbled. I am found.
Liberated from the shackles of pride, I am truly free.
I won’t bother about how people think of me.
Being oneself is actually as easy as ABC!
I breathe in the fresh air saturated with spring
I feel the cool waves gently tickle my sun-kissed cheeks
I see eyes of a symphony of colours sparkle like diamond rings
I choose to be happy today, tomorrow, well, for 52 weeks.
I hear the melody of crystal-clear hearts singing by the stream
Cup my hands; I sense the water droplets of the hot condensing steam
My eyes blazed by the carmine flares in the clouds in my dreams
Finally, I’ve found my self-esteem.
Because, I am not perfect
I exaggerate, I make sweeping statements, I overpromise
I hate, I lie, I try to hold myself together and remain intact
Sometimes, I am demanding and even the very best can’t suffice
But today, with my splatter of moles, a chaos of hairstyle and my boring brown eyes
I look into the mirror, and I see the difference.
Life turns 180 degrees when one decides to be confident.
So live out the magic today, I want you to go out there and shout
No fear, out loud
I am beautiful!

Down-to-earth and enjoys short walks in mother nature's embrace. Smile people, today's going to be a great day.
