Erfolgreich short poem

The successful man has talent.
Talent, perhaps developed, perhaps discovered.
And so he works, to become better.

The successful man has money.
Money to fund his talent.
His talent, which will lead to his success.

The successful man has friends.
Friends that stay with him, that help him
And tell others of his talent.

The successful man is famous.
From his town to the world over,
He has followers everywhere.

The unsuccessful man has nothing.
Perhaps he has talent,
Perhaps he could earn money,
Perhaps he has many friends,
But that means nothing to him.

He merely sits in his home, with his guitar,
With his family,
With his comic book collection.
With everything he knows,
He sits there at home,
He hangs his head
In the shadows of the successful.
And doesn’t try to move.

My muse is like an excitable dog. It catches sight of totally random things and starts yapping and running around and wagging its tail and WILL NOT STOP until I write a poem about it.My poetry is sometimes based on personal experience and sometimes on other things. Aside from that, I enjoy video games (My favourite game series is Mass Effect) and the popular television show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
