Cutie Marks

Cutie Marks short poem

What if you could tell
A person’s special talent
From a single glance?

Shown in a symbol,
Branded on their bodies, so
All the world can see.

Maybe, for instance,
Musicians would have a note,
Florists, a flower,

Bakers, loaves of bread,
Mechanics, a car or tools
Writers, quills and ink.

Good maybe for some…
But what about the people
Who aren’t talented?

Would they be outcast,
Bullied at school, in the streets,
Ridiculed and mocked?

That’s what I wonder…
If you had one of those marks,
Then what would it be?

I bet that it’s good.
Much better than mine… If I
Would even have one..

My muse is like an excitable dog. It catches sight of totally random things and starts yapping and running around and wagging its tail and WILL NOT STOP until I write a poem about it.My poetry is sometimes based on personal experience and sometimes on other things. Aside from that, I enjoy video games (My favourite game series is Mass Effect) and the popular television show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
